Gamersledge First Look: Costume Quest 2

Out of the EXPO, this title is set to release October 19th. For those not in the know, this sequel is a cell shaded action/exploration RPG centered around two children who use Halloween costumes and well-timed attacks to fight across time to repair the damage an evil dentist does by opening a portal to a dimension filled with monsters.

In the demo I played, the siblings, in an effort to fix the future, must travel in time, and use costumes (such as a super hero and a piece of candy corn) to combat time witches and other dangers present in the world. The exploring comes down to exploring the neighborhood and other locations in town (and some other dimensions), the combat is very RPG, where you select which attacks you want to complete, and then a well-timed press of the right direction can land you a critical hit.

For those who played the first game, there are new costumes, and a slew of new baddies, (though if you are fond of the old costumes, some are available as preorder bonuses).

This looks like a fun title to play on Halloween, with jokes and comments thrown throughout the playthrough.
